Miss Catherine Della - Principal, Bodyline Dance Academy.

Catherine was born in Sydney and did her early training with Barbara Chambers and Kim Traynor. She continued her studies and obtained an Associate Diploma in the Arts (Dance) at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Upon graduation, she worked with both Expressions Queensland Dance Theatre and the Queensland Ballet Company.

Her love of travel took her to London where she taught dance and studied acting appearing in BBC productions like Eastenders, Only Fools and Horses and The Bill. After working in commercials and videos, Catherine was accepted into Diversions Dance Co. in Wales.

In her five years with the company, she became leading dancer and ballet master and toured extensively throughout the UK, Europe and Asia and worked with New York choreographers Bill T. Jones and Daniel Ezralow.

She was then invited to dance at the Jacobs Pillow Festival in the USA where she went on tour and taught workshops on the East Coast. More freelance work in London, Philadelphia, Toronto and Sydney before retiring.

Aside from performing, Catherine's teaching career is diverse ranging from profesional dancers, students, special needs, actors and even Welsh rugby players. In 2001, Catherine achieved Distinction for the Royal Academy of Dance teachers certificate and established Bodyline Dance Academy (BDA) in 2002.
